Helping your board be more effective: A webinar session for executive directors with Gayle L. Gifford, ACFRE, President Cause & Effect Inc.

Executive Directors — the governance research is clear. Your engaged partnership with your board is critical to its effectiveness. Come explore and discuss the research, effective tools and actions you can control that will help you co-create the board you’ve been dreaming about.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just wave a magic wand and your board would transform into the great board you want it to be?

Well, you may not have a magic wand. But in this new webinar, you’ll learn how to unleash the power you already have to help your board and board members become more effective.

In this webinar, you’ll learn

  • What research tells us about what makes boards work well
  • What you might be doing now that just doesn’t work, and why
  • How to use your job description to define your desired relationship with the board
  • How to lead your own performance evaluation
  • A new framework to transform your management approach
  • A different way of thinking about who needs to be on the board
  • Other practical tools to help your board be more effective
